Our cakes are all made on site and the selection is ever changing although we do have one or two favourites that are always on sale.
- Bara Brith, a Welsh tea loaf, made on site with plump dried fruits soaked in tea. This is served with Welsh butter.
- Our fresh scones, made daily (and never kept over), and served with Welsh butter or whipped cream, and locally made jam.
Although we don’t currently make gluten free bread we do make gluten free cakes using polenta, rice flour or ground almonds in place of wheat flour. These include our very popular chocolate brownies, coconut lime cake, orange polenta cake and almond macaroons. Please be aware that whilst we are very careful to keep these cakes separate from cakes that do contain wheat flour, they are prepared in the same kitchen.
Cakes for Christmas
Our rich fruit cake is made with plump mixed vine fruits, peel, walnuts, butter and free range eggs. Topped with hand made marzipan and fondant icing. Presented on a silver board, with a ribbon decoration. Cost £25, payable in advance. Telephone 01874 711125 to order.
Our gluten free Yule log is made from a rich, chocolate, flourless sponge, decorated with a luscious chocolate icing. Costing £12.50 it is presented on a silver board with holly sprig decoration. Call us to order or pop in. Payment is required at time of ordering.
