VOUCHERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR OUR BAKING CLASSES AND THEY MAKE GREAT GIFTS. YOU CHOOSE TO PAY FOR A HALF OR WHOLE DAY, RECEIVE A VOUCHER IN RETURN (we can email this if you are short of time or send it to you by post) AND THE RECIPIENT CAN SUBSCRIBE TO ONE OF OUR CLASSES TO SUIT THEIR AVAILABILITY/AMBITIONS!
Our classes are run by one of our in house bakers; we are all passionate about baking and good quality, locally sourced food. Classes are suitable for accompanied children over the age of 12. We believe that everyone can make bread given the correct ingredients and simple, clear instructions. There is nothing to be scared of. Classes can be tailored to specific topics if required, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
In the event that the course cannot run as it is not fully subscribed (half day minimum 3 people, full day minimum 2 people), you can transfer it to another date.
If you are unable to attend a course that you have booked please let us know. You can transfer to another date up to 28 days before your scheduled class. If you are unable to give sufficient notice then you are welcome to send a friend to a class in your place. We are unable to issue refunds.
Miller's Experience. If you would like to take part in a Miller's Experience, the dates are the same as for the baking classes, and the same terms apply (minimum three people). You will spend the morning milling, and the afternoon baking. To arrange a Miller's Experience please telephone 01874 711352.

BREAD BAKING CLASSES 2017
Half day 1-4pm £65. Full day 10am-4pm £125. Includes all ingredients, recipes, bread to take home and refreshments. Half day - minimum 3 people, maximum 4 people, full day - minimum 2 people, maximum 4 people. (Half day will involve less doughs.)
Wood Fired Sourdough Pizza Masterclasses NEW!
Learn to make a sourdough pizza dough which you will then shape and top with a range of freshly prepared toppings. You will then bake your pizza in our wood fired oven before sitting down with a complimentary glass of wine, and locally sourced salad leaves to accompany your pizza. Finish off with a Rowlestone Farmhouse Ice Cream.
Maximum of 7 participants, minium of 4, must be aged 14 or over. Take home a pot of our rye sourdough starter to make your own pizzas at home.

10am-4pm.Sourdough and Italian breads. Starting with a sourdough culture we will make a country sourdough loaf, including Talgarth Mill's rye and wholemeal flours, delicious foccacia and ciabatta doughs, bread rolls and pizza dough - which will form the basis of your lunch. Cost £125. Includes refreshments and lunch. FULLY BOOKED.
OCTOBER 19th 2017.
11am-2pm. Bread for beginners. Make a selection of doughs and use different shaping methods, some using flour from Talgarth Mill. Learn kneading and shaping techniques, how to test your loaf for a prove. You will go home with a seeded wholemeal loaf, a white and rye loaf and some malted granary rolls. Cost £65. Includes teame made cake. FULLY BOOKED.
NOVEMBER 26th 2017.
10am-4pm. Christmas Baking. Nothing beats freshly baked bread, and real artisan bread is the best way to add something special to your Christmas menus.You’ll learn how to make a Sourdough loaf flavoured with figs and star anise. And you’ll take a pot of starter home to keep in your fridge to keep you inspired to bake more.Then we will make a Christmas loaf, packed with dried fruits, perfect for toasting, or pairing with cheeses.A quick bread is made using baking soda as the raising agent. Whilst it doesn’t count as ‘Real Bread’ under the Campaign’s rules, it is non the less a great one to have up your sleeve for when you want fresh bread without all the kneading, proving and waiting. Ours is flavoured with cheddar and onions and sage.
Your lunch will be home made pizzas, which we will cook in the bakery oven and you will enjoy with locally sourced salads and a drink of your choice.A basic white dough is the perfect way to make a special couronne (crown) to serve on Christmas morning. It can be filled with goodies either sweet or savoury – the choice is yours. Cost £125. Includes refreshments and lunch. ONE PLACE LEFT.
