A New Year's Eve 'Pudding and Prosecco 5k at Talgarth Mill and The Bakers' Table tasing funds for the Drew Barker-Wright Charity

What better way to end one year and start another than with a 5km night-time run, finishing with pudding and prosecco in The Bakers’ Table? 60 like-minded runners of all ages and abilities agreed – and lined up for the first (but based on feedback, not the last!) New Year’s Eve Pudding and Prosecco Run. No-one was deterred by the rather cold, rainy and windy evening and set off with enthusiasm on the “there and back” route to Bronllys, supported by six hardy marshals along the way for extra cheer. Everyone made it back to the Mill safely and tucked in to sticky toffee pudding and meringues, toasting their efforts with some well- earned bubbles. Proceeds from the run were for The Drew Barker-Wright Charity, supporting families affected by paediatric chordoma. One runner summed up the evening: “great run, great food, great cause”.

One date for the diary – The Mill Race – Sunday May 6th – our annual 10 mile “fun run” up on to Rhos Fawr Common and back down through Park Wood.
